Location: Syston, Leicestershire
This position is a 12 month contract to cover maternity leave initially.
We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper / Payroll Assistant to join our small friendly firm of Accountants.
The role will cover the following responsibilities:
Bookkeeping using Quickbooks software
Preparation of VAT Returns
Assisting with the preparation of accounts
Calculation of payroll using Iris software
Contacting customers to obtain payroll information and dealing with payroll queries
Submitting Automatic Enrolment Pensions calculations via Iris Software
Experience/Skills In order to be considered for this position:
Previous experience within an accounts and payroll position
Understanding the basic rules relating to VAT and Payroll is essential
You will have excellent computer skills including Excel
Any experience of using Quickbooks and Iris Payroll would be welcomed but this is not a requirement
